Samsung Washing Machine Display Error Codes: What They Mean and How to Fix Them

1. 4E or 4C – Water Supply Error

Meaning: The machine isn't getting enough water or any water at all.

Causes:

  • Water tap is turned off
  • Blocked or kinked inlet hose
  • Faulty water inlet valve

Solution:

  • Ensure the water tap is fully open
  • Straighten any kinks in the hose
  • Clean the inlet filter

2. 5E or 5C – Drainage Error

Meaning: The washing machine isn't draining properly.

Causes:

  • Clogged drain filter or hose
  • Blocked pump
  • Faulty drain pump

Solution:

  • Clean the drain filter (usually located at the front bottom corner)
  • Check the hose for obstructions
  • Inspect the pump for foreign objects

3. UE or DC – Unbalanced Load Error

Meaning: The laundry load is uneven or unbalanced.

4. dE or dC – Door Error

5. LE or LC – Water Leak Error
